Walkersville Southern holds many special events during the year. The most popular, of course, are our Santa trains in late November and early December, and our Bunny trains in the spring. We require reservations for both events.
We also celebrate Fourth of July with our Star-Spangled Fireworks Special.
Our Teddy Bear Picnics and Superhero trains are quite popular with the kids, and offer a midweek activity during the summer. We have visits from Jesse James and his gang several times each season, and the Civil War reenactors are also popular with our riders each year.
We also run steam trains for three weekends each year, hosting Gramling Locomotive Works and one of their saddle tank locomotives.
